Scarecrow (STASH 1 / NUTRIENT)

Happy 420 Stonerds!!  Let’s give it up for another awesome Nutrient card from the Kickstarter set, Scarecrow.  Scarecrow has a stash limit of one and when played allows you to select a CannaBeast on your side of the field and it cannot be attacked for your opponent’s next two turns.  This is a pretty solid card to play at any time in the game dependent on the situation, if your opponent plants a CannaBeast that is capable of destroying one of yours that you would rather not lose, Scarecrow can give you a potential two turn window to turn your strategy around.

Scarecrow is the perfect card for setting yourself up to tribute a CannaBeast to be able to plant a stronger one.  If your opponent is steam rolling you and you’ve been unable to keep anything on the field, you can plant the beast you plan to use to tribute next turn and play Scarecrow on it to give you that perfect window to get your stronger CannaBeast out on the field.  Obviously you will want to make sure that you’re setting yourself up for a better play and not just wasting a good card and not helping yourself, most of the time it will be better to bide your time another turn than waste your potential strategy doing nothing.
