Yule Log (STASH 3 / SATIVA CB)
Happy Sunday Stonerds! Today we’re looking at the strongest defensive CannaBeast included in the Winter Blazed set and one of the strongest defensive Beasts in the game, Yule Log. Yule Log has a base defense of 265 making it an incredibly strong defender requiring your opponent to possess either a removal card or an equally monstrous aggressive CannaBeast to get it off the field.
Being a 1 tribute CannaBeast Yule Log is almost always going to be worth the sacrifice of another Beast to plant it on the field. Yule Log can be a great strategic play that keeps your opponent held off long enough for you to establish a gameplan. I’ve had several games where I was getting demolished until I planted a Yule Log and that was the turning point in the game.
Yule Log is going to excel in a Sativa Stash where it can reach its max potential of 355 defense when buffed by 3 Boosters. Unless you plan on building a straight defensive Stash, I recommend pairing one Yule Log up with several aggressive focused tribute CannaBeast for max effect of high defense and attack.
Yule Log: Pairs well with
Booster: As long as this card remains on the field, all Sativa CannaBeasts that you control on the field gain 30 attack and 30 defense. (Nutrient, Stash 3)
Iron Leaf: Select one CannaBeast on your side of the field, this card will gain 30 defense until the turn has ended. (Ambush, Stash 1)
Last Resort: Decrease the attack of your opponent’s CannaBeast by 10. (Nutrient, Stash 3)
Smoke Guzzler: When this card is activated it is equipped to target CannaBeast. Boost the attack and defense of the target CannaBeast by 15. (Nutrient, Stash 1)
